Mark is a Financial Planner with Provident Wealth Strategies based in Texas and Virginia. Since 1987 he has helped clients accumulate assets in order to fulfill their goals. His process makes financial planning an integral part of getting to know his clients. “When I meet with clients we begin with what their goals are and what they want to accomplish in life. Each client is unique with what is needed. The financial planning process includes the areas of investment planning, retirement planning, estate planning, college planning, charitable gifting and insurance planning strategies for high net worth clientele.
Mark is a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Chartered Life Underwriter. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in financial planning from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Business Administration from Louisiana State University. He has been quoted in or written over 40 articles for various publications including CNNfn’s website money.cnn.com, the Houston Business Journal and appeared twice on CNNfn’s cable TV show “Smart Assets” speaking on the topics “Sudden Wealth” and “Sudden Widowhood”.
Mark is involved with several civic, religious and community activities in Houston, Texas. In November 2007 he was named one of the top advisors in state of Texas by Reuters AdvicePoint. While in August 2008, “H Texas Magazine” named him one of Houston’s top Financial Planners. Worth magazine honored him as one of the top 250 Wealth Advisors in the country in October 2008. In 2011 through 2023 Texas Monthly named him a “Houston Five Star Wealth Manager” and the Houston Business Journal has named his firm a “NABCAP Premier Advisor.
